Disclosure: Operational issue at Sohar Power and Desalination Plant

Sohar Power Company SAOG informs that one of the power units (GT1) tripped while in operation. The initial inspection showed damages in the unit.

 

Sohar Power Company SAOG and its operator are working to overcome this situation, by organizing the required repairs and, returning the unit to service as soon as possible.

 

Whilst these technical issues partially affect the power production capacity, Sohar Power Company SAOG informs that the water production is not affected by this incident.

 

This incident will impact the operational and financial performance of the Company in 2016.
