Disclosure: Operational issues at Sohar Power and Desalination Plant

Sohar Power Company SAOG informs that while returning from a planned shutdown from 15 to 18 March 2015, the power and water desalination plant located in Sohar faced some operational issues, resulting in some damages to one of its production units.
Sohar Power Company SAOG and its operator are working to overcome this situation and required repairs are being organized.

Whilst these technical issues are not expected to adversely impact the quality of water produced by the plant, the output of the plant will be reduced until repairs are completed.

The period of partial unavailability and the resulting loss of capacity of the plant will impact the operational and financial performance of the company in 2015.
